G32P or G32X? The two 32-inch 6K monitors, decided
The same diagonal, the same 6K format, the same brightness. €260 apart, and two differences that decide it: contrast and the panel's finish.

Contrast, the real difference
2000:1 against 1500:1 sounds abstract. In practice: on a night photo, a dark film scene or an interface in dark mode, the G32P shows blacks that stay black where the G32X turns very dark grey. If you grade images or work in video, that is the criterion that justifies the price gap.
If you spend your days in text, code and spreadsheets, that gap will almost never show.
Matte or glossy, the other trade-off
The G32P is glossy anti-reflective: deeper contrast and colours, but sensitive to a window placed behind you. The G32X is matte: it dissolves reflections, at the cost of a slight veil on the blacks.
And density?
223 against 218 ppi: the difference is too small to be perceived by eye. It does, however, have a technical consequence: 218 ppi corresponds exactly to the ratio for which macOS applies 2× scaling with no interpolation. The G32X is therefore, in theory, very slightly cleaner on a Mac. In practice, both are excellent.
Our recommendation
You produce images: the G32P, for the contrast.
You work on a Mac, in a bright office: the G32X, for the matte finish and the €260 saved.
You are still hesitating: the G32X is the safer choice. The G32P is the more demanding choice.
FAQ
G32P or G32X: frequently asked questions
What is the real difference between the G32P and the G32X?
Contrast and finish. The G32P offers 2000:1 with an IPS Black panel and a glossy coating; the G32X 1500:1 with an IPS panel and a matte coating. Resolution and brightness are almost identical.
Which one to choose for a Mac?
The G32X, whose 218 ppi correspond exactly to the density for which macOS applies 2× scaling with no interpolation. The G32P remains excellent, at 223 ppi.
Is the G32P worth €260 more?
Yes if you work on images, video or in dark mode: the doubled contrast is immediately visible. No if your day is spent in text and spreadsheets.
Do they go beyond 60 Hz?
No, both are at 60 Hz. 6K already demands considerable bandwidth. For a high refresh rate, look at the P27Z or the P27ZB at 27 inches.
Are they compatible with a MacBook over USB-C?
Yes, with charging over the same cable. Check, however, that your machine supports 6K: that is the point to verify before ordering, not after.
